Old Farm Day will enjoy its 23rd birthday on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Pleasant Grove Park in Palmyra, Virginia and this year the long-awaited Farm Heritage Museum building will be open to the public!  The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday May 4, 2019.  Admission is $8 per adult and FREE for children 12 and under.  Pleasant Grove Park is at 1730 Thomas Jefferson Parkway (Rte. 53) in Palmyra, VA.  Proceeds from Old Farm Day are divided between the Fluvanna Historical Society and the Farm Heritage Museum fund.  There will be many kids activities, a record number of heritage crafters, vendors and exhibitors, a contest for the absolutely best apple and berry pies in Fluvanna County, a photo contest with prizes for age categories as well as professional and amateur division prizes, a raffle for a quilt created and donated by members of Palmyra’s Bits and Piecers Quilt Group, and a game of Cow Pie Bingo! The schedule for the musical entertainment  starts with THE RAGNAROCKERS (Jazz infused Funk, Rock and Blues) from 10:30 – 11:30; THE BUSH LEAGUE (Award-winning Blues from Richmond) from 12:00 – 1:00 ; ROBERT JOSPE TRIO (Jazz) from 1:30 – 2:30; and BIG 3 (Electric Blues, Rock and Folk) from 3:00PM – 4:00PM.  For any additional information call the Historical society at (434) 589-7910.
