BASS
-
I bought my first bass in 2002, a Squier Affinity Series 20th Anniversary Precision Bass guitar with a 30 watt bass amp and played along to CD’s or the radio. I then met Marc ‘Eloh’ Montfluery and Njeri ‘Jeda’ Davis and we formed Trifecta in 2005. We all parted ways and left the DC area in 2006 and in early 2007, armed with a Carlo Robelli acoustic/ electric bass guitar on JohnJay’s front porch, I plucked out a few notes and he sang a few songs and the seeds of what would become The Bush League were sewn. In the Spring of 2012 I was presented with an Ibanez AEB5E 4 String Acoustic Electric from some really great and most awesome friends! I play them all through a Yorkville XM100C (the C means carpet covered)!

In addition to playing bass in The Bush League, I have become active in the RVA music and arts communities by working part-time at The National as a part of the security team and occasionally helping with stage production, volunteering since 2011 at Richmond’s Independent Radio Station WRIR as a board operator and production assistant, voted onto the 2012 Board of Directors as a Member At Large of the River City Blues Society, volunteering yearly since 2010 as a music logger for the Richmond Folk Festival.
