Central Virginia Blues Society’s 2017 International Blues Challenge Band Representatives

In Charlottesville, Virginia’s IX Arts Park on Sunday August 28, 2016 the Central Virginia Blues Society held their 3rd Blues Challenge to send a representative to the 33rd International Blues Challenge sponsored by The Blues Foundation.  There were 4 Solo/Duo acts and 4 Band acts performing for and audience of very lucky blues lovers in the region and 4 judges (Greg Verson, The Professah [Blues Valley – WMRA], Dave Eisenman [Jazz & Blues Director – WTJU], Dave Harrison [BluesNdaBlood] & Steve Hamilton [Fresh Roots, New Blues – WNRN]) determining our fate.  The Solo/Duo performers (Ken Farmer, Kiz Carter & Juke Jackson, Parker & Gray and Bluezonia DD) went first with a small break before the Bands (The Bell Hornets, The Bush League, Learning Experience and Monkey Junkies).
